Day 1: Arrival & Colombo Exploration

• Morning: Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport. Transfer to Colombo.
  • Photography Highlights:
    • Galle Face Green: Sunset by the sea.
    • Pettah Market: Vibrant street scenes and candid portraits.
    • Gangaramaya Temple: Unique blend of modern and traditional architecture.
    • Colombo Skyline: Capture cityscapes from One Galle Face rooftop.
• Stay: Colombo.

Day 2: Sigiriya Rock & Dambulla

• Morning: Drive to Sigiriya (4 hours).
  • Photography Highlights:
    • Sigiriya Rock Fortress: Aerial drone shots (if permitted) and ancient frescoes.
    • Pidurangala Rock: Sunrise shots with Sigiriya in the backdrop.
• Afternoon: Visit Dambulla Cave Temple (30 mins drive).
  • Photography Highlights:
    • Intricate Buddha statues and colorful frescoes.
• Stay: Sigiriya.

Day 3: Wildlife in Minneriya & Cultural Village

• Morning: Safari in Minneriya National Park.
  • Photography Highlights:
    • Herds of elephants, leopards, and diverse birdlife.
• Afternoon: Visit a traditional village near Habarana.
  • Photography Highlights:
    • Portraits of villagers, traditional cooking, and lush paddy fields.
• Stay: Sigiriya.

Day 4: Kandy – Sacred & Scenic

• Morning: Drive to Kandy (3 hours).
  • Photography Highlights:
    • Temple of the Tooth: Sacred rituals and stunning architecture.
    • Kandy Lake: Evening reflections and serene landscapes.
• Evening: Capture a cultural dance performance.
• Stay: Kandy.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya & Tea Plantations

• Morning: Scenic train ride from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya (considered one of the most photogenic train journeys in the world).
  • Photography Highlights:
    • Tea plantations, waterfalls, and misty hills.
• Afternoon: Visit a tea factory and explore Gregory Lake.
  • Photography Highlights:
    • Workers plucking tea leaves, lake reflections, and colonial-style architecture.
• Stay: Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6: Galle & Departure

• Morning: Drive to Galle (6 hours).
  • Photography Highlights:
    • Galle Fort: Colonial architecture, vibrant streets, and lighthouse.
    • Unawatuna Beach: Sunset beach shots with fishermen at work.
• Evening: Drive to the airport (2.5 hours) for departure.
